Tax Season 2027: CPA-Led Filing for 2026 Returns
Your return is prepared, reviewed, and e-filed by licensed CPAs. Built for businesses, executives, investors, and high earners with complex tax situations who need accuracy, documentation, and expert guidance before the deadline arrives.
Key Dates for Tax Season 2027
DEADLINES

March 15, 2027
S corporation and partnership returns.
April 15, 2027

When Your Tax Situation Requires CPA Expertise
This page is for taxpayers whose return carries real complexity and real consequences if it is filed wrong. It is not designed for basic W-2 filers, who are well served by software.
Meet the team behind every return we file:
Businesses that file with us
- LLCs, S corporations, C corporations, and partnerships
- Companies with payroll, contractors, or income in more than one state
- Owners who need the business return and the personal return prepared together
- Firms that prefer a licensed CPA over an automated platform or a seasonal storefront
Individuals who file with us
- Executives and professionals with high or variable income
- Owners of rental property, investment portfolios, or equity compensation
- High-earning self-employed professionals with 1099 income and substantial deductions
- Households with income in several states or with trusts and estates to report
If your situation fits, the next step is a short call to confirm scope and pricing before the season fills up.
What You Get When a CPA Firm Files Your Return
The goal is not the largest refund but the correct one: every credit and deduction you qualify for, supported by records that hold up if the IRS asks. This is what filing with a licensed CPA firm includes this season.
The Correct Refund, Documented
Your return claims every deduction and credit you qualify for, and nothing you cannot support. Each position is tied to records that hold up in a review.
A Licensed CPA Signs Your Return
Preparation and review are done by a licensed CPA who signs as paid preparer and remains accountable for the work after the deadline has passed.
Business and Personal Returns Coordinated
Your S corporation, partnership, or C corporation return and your personal return are prepared by the same team, so pass-through income, distributions, and owner compensation match across both filings.
Multi-State and Complex Filings Handled
Income in more than one state, rental properties, investment activity, and K-1s are handled in one place, with every form prepared and reconciled before e-filing.
Deadlines Managed, Extensions Included
Your filing date is tracked from the day you reserve your slot. If a document arrives late, we file the extension and estimate the payment so you never file late.
Support After the Return Is Filed
IRS notices, amended returns, and questions about your return are handled by the CPA who prepared it. The same team is available the rest of the year.
2027 Tax Filing Deadlines by Entity Type
Federal deadlines for calendar-year filers. Florida has no personal income tax; C corporations doing business in Florida also file Form F-1120 with the state. Clients in other states receive their state calendar during onboarding.
What the deadline means for you. An extension gives you more time to file the return. It does not give you more time to pay. The amount owed is due April 15 regardless, and interest starts the next day. When we prepare your return, we calculate the payment before the deadline so the extension protects you instead of costing you.

Documents Needed to File Your 2026 Return
We use a secure client portal to keep tax season organized and easy to follow. Through it you complete the tax questionnaire, upload documents, answer requests from our team, sign the required forms, and keep everything protected in one place.
The questionnaire identifies what a properly prepared return requires: income sources, deductions, credits, business activity, investments, real estate, estimated payments, and IRS notices. It reduces the risk of missed income, overlooked deductions, or a return prepared from incomplete information.
The portal guides you through what applies to your situation. Not every item applies to every taxpayer, and our team follows up if anything appears missing. Once you reserve your slot you receive access and can start uploading the same day.
For Businesses
The questionnaire and portal help us gather the records needed to prepare the business return and connect the filing to the company’s books, payroll, ownership, and compliance history.
- Year-end financial statements and balance sheet, or access to your accounting file
- Bank and credit card statements for the year, especially where reconciliation is needed
- Payroll reports and Forms W-2, W-3, 940, 941, and 1099s
- Forms 1099 issued and received
- Fixed asset purchases, disposals, and major equipment purchases
- Loans to or from owners, and capital contributions
- Ownership changes and distributions
- Prior-year business return and any IRS or state notices received
Individuals
The questionnaire helps us identify the income, deductions, credits, payments, and life changes that may affect your personal return.
- Forms W-2, 1099-NEC, 1099-MISC, 1099-K, 1099-INT, 1099-DIV, 1099-B, and 1099-R
- Schedules K-1 from partnerships, S corporations, trusts, or estates
- Social Security, pension, retirement, or unemployment income
- Brokerage statements with cost basis, stock sales, crypto activity, or investment income
- Equity compensation statements: RSU, ISO, NSO, and ESPP activity
- Rental property income and expenses, by property
- Business or self-employment income, if applicable
- Mortgage interest (Form 1098), property tax, charitable contributions, and deductible expenses
- Estimated payments made during 2026 and 2027, IRS or state notices, and the prior-year return if you are new to our firm
Clear Pricing Based on the Complexity of Your Return
You know the starting price before you send a document. A deposit reserves your place in the season queue and is applied to the final invoice. Final pricing is confirmed after the scope review, before any work begins.
Returns with multiple entities, several states, or significant investment activity receive a custom quote after the scope call.
Final pricing is confirmed after scope review and depends on return complexity, entities, states, rental properties, investment activity, bookkeeping condition, prior-year issues, and required forms.

Upload your documents
You receive portal access and the checklist for your situation. Our team confirms what arrived and follows up on what is missing.
CPA Review, Approval & E-File
A CPA prepares the return, a second review checks it, and you approve it before we e-file. You receive the filed copy, the payment schedule, and a summary of what to plan for next year.
Need a Tax Extension or Missed the Deadline?
Filing a tax extension. If your documents will not be ready by March 15 or April 15, we file the extension request (Form 7004 for businesses, Form 4868 for individuals) and calculate the payment that still has to go in by the original date. The extended deadline is September 15 for S corporations and partnerships and October 15 for individuals and C corporations.
Filing the extension correctly is what keeps the extension from becoming a penalty.
If the deadline already passed
- It is not too late to file: late returns can still be prepared and e-filed
- The sooner the return goes in, the smaller the interest and penalties that accrue
- If the IRS has already assessed penalties or sent a notice, our IRS resolution team reviews whether relief programs such as First Time Abatement apply

I’ve been working with Upfront Tax Accounting to manage the taxes for my furniture business, and the experience has been excellent. I decided to give them a try because they’re close to my shop and they had great reviews. I was looking for an accountant nearby so I could have more direct communication—whether in person, by phone, or by email—and they’ve been great in all aspects. Their team is very professional, knowledgeable, and proactive. They stay on top of everything and constantly follow up to make sure my taxes and accounts are handled correctly. As a Hispanic business owner, I also feel very comfortable working with them and discussing ideas about my business. As my company continues to grow, it’s important for me to work with professionals who can handle the level of volume and complexity that comes with a growing business. There may be cheaper accountants out there, but when your business starts scaling, you need experienced professionals who truly know what they’re doing. I’m very satisfied with their service and definitely recommend them. — David Andrade FURNIKOURE Furniture StorePosted on Google![]()

We engaged Upfront CPA’s for our LLC in Spring of this year, and from day one, they did a great job! They are very attentive, professional and accountable to doing their best work for their clients. After having a bad experience with another CPA firm, we were relieved to have them taking care of our needs. Highly recommend!
Questions Clients Ask Every Season
The answers below cover what clients ask most often before reserving. Anything specific to your return is covered on the scope call.
When does tax season 2027 start?
The IRS usually opens e-filing in the last week of January and announces the exact date in mid-January. We begin accepting documents in December so returns are ready to file the day the IRS opens.
What is the tax deadline for 2027?
April 15, 2027 for individuals and C corporations. March 15, 2027 for S corporations and partnerships. W-2 and 1099-NEC forms are due February 1, 2027 because January 31 falls on a Sunday.
How much does a tax filing service cost?
Individual returns start at $450 and business returns at $1,500. The final price depends on the number of entities, states, and income sources, and is confirmed before work begins.
What happens if I file taxes late?
The return can still be filed, and doing it quickly limits interest and penalties. If penalties have been assessed, our IRS resolution team evaluates relief options. The extensions section above explains the process.
Can I file an extension and still have you prepare the return?
Yes. We file the extension, calculate the payment due by the original deadline, and schedule the return for the extended period. Extension clients keep their reserved slot.
Do you work with clients outside Florida?
Yes. Clients in all 50 states work with us through virtual consultations and the client portal. Multi-state returns are part of our standard scope.
How is my final price determined?
Pricing depends on the return type, number of entities, states, rental properties, investments, bookkeeping condition, prior-year issues, IRS notices, and required forms. Starting prices are shown on this page, and final pricing is confirmed after scope review.
